Venezuelan ladies among the final to be expelled below Title 42

NOGALES, SONORA, Mexico − The Virgin of Guadalupe watched over a boy on the entrance of a church.

The framed image of the patron saint of Mexico hung above the altar on the San Juan Bosco migrant shelter in Nogales, Sonora. The younger migrant boy wore a brilliant blue Sonic the Hedgehog shirt and clutched a telephone as he confronted a gaggle of asylum-seekers.

Greater than 25 migrants, a lot of them from Venezuela, sat within the worn inexperienced fabric chairs of the church as they referred to as family members and rifled by means of their belongings in creased government-issued plastic baggage.

A handful of expelled asylum-seekers had been dropped off on the shelter Thursday afternoon, just a few hours earlier than Title 42 would elevate.
