Travis Kelce Defends “Classy” Beer Chug During Courtside Date With Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce isn’t throwing a flag on this play.

After a video of him chugging a beer during a courtside date night with fiancée Taylor Swift during a basketball game went viral, he addressed criticism surrounding the move.

“It was a classy chug, Jason,” Travis teased to his older brother Jason Kelce during the May 27 episode of their New Heights podcast. “Didn’t spill one drop. Didn’t crush the can. I’m on a hardwood floor at an NBA game, could’ve got messy. It was a smooth, classy chug to get the people going.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end also emphasized that tensions were high during the May 23 match between the Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers—during which the New York team won 121-108—at the Rocket Arena in Ohio.

“We’re down 10 f–king points,” the 35-year-old—who was repping the Cavs during game three of the Eastern Conference Finals—added. “I’m trying to get some type of f–king energy going in the building.”
