Russian Embassy Says US Needs to Play Down Involvement in Nord Stream Blasts
(Reuters) – The Russian embassy within the U.S. stated on Wednesday Washington is looking for to minimize damaging details about the alleged involvement of its intelligence companies in final 12 months’s blasts that broken the Nord Stream fuel pipelines.
Moscow failed on Monday to get the U.N. Safety Council to ask for an impartial inquiry into explosions in September that ruptured the Nord Stream pipelines connecting Russia and Germany and spewed fuel into the Baltic Sea.
Russian officers reacted angrily and the Kremlin stated on Tuesday it will maintain demanding a world investigation.
The Russian embassy within the U.S. stated in a press release posted on its Telegram messaging platform that Washington is doing “every little thing attainable” to forestall “neutral efforts” set up circumstances across the explosions.
“We see this as an apparent try … to minimize info from respected journalists that’s damaging for america in regards to the probably direct involvement of American intelligence companies,” the embassy stated within the assertion posted in Russian.
