Press Field Collapse at West Virginia Softball Recreation Injures 9
WAYNE, W.Va. (AP) — A portion of a press field flooring collapsed at a center faculty softball match in West Virginia on Saturday, injuring 9 individuals, faculty officers mentioned.
5 individuals have been contained in the press field at Wayne County Excessive College when the ground gave method whereas a number of different individuals have been beneath it, the county faculty district mentioned in a press release.
Six college students and three adults have been taken to a hospital. The extent of their accidents was not identified.
The reason for the collapse stays beneath investigation, the varsity district mentioned.
Wayne is in southwestern West Virginia about 163 miles (262 kilometers) southeast of Cincinnati.
