OG Anunoby likely to miss multiple games with elbow injury in concerning Knicks update

The Knicks are likely to be without forward OG Anunoby for longer than just Monday night.
Anunoby has already been ruled out for Monday’s game at Golden State due to an elbow injury that caused him to previously miss 18 games this season, and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski indicated that the absence is expected to extend for more time.

“I’m told that OG Anunoby is going to be out for more than just tonight,” Wojnarowski said on “NBA Countdown” on Monday.
Anunoby’s right elbow “flared up,” according to Tom Thibodeau, leading to him flying home for an MRI, which came back clean.
It’s unlikely he plays against the Nuggets when the Knicks head to Denver on Thursday, according to The Post’s Stefan Bondy.
“How long he is out is unclear, but it’s certainly a concern for this Knicks team,” Wojnarowski added.
Anunoby is averaging 14.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 17 games since joining the Knicks from the Raptors earlier this season, and he is an elite player on defense.
