Netflix delays its password-sharing crackdown to someday earlier than July

Netflix is pushing again its plans to crack down on password sharing within the US till someday earlier than July. In an earnings report released on Tuesday, the streamer says it “shifted out the timing of the broad launch from late Q1 to Q2.”

Earlier this yr, Netflix committed to cracking down on password sharing “extra broadly” towards the top of the primary quarter of 2023. Whereas it did roll out new anti-password sharing rules in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain in February, these guidelines by no means reached the US.
