Mendacity George Santos’ spokeswoman resigns: ‘You by no means took one level {of professional} recommendation’

Mendacity Rep. George Santos’ communications director resigned on Wednesday and slammed the embattled lawmaker in her departure observe for failing to take even “one level {of professional} recommendation given.” 

Naysa Woomer’s loud exit is the most recent predicament going through Santos, who was indicted last week by the Justice Department on fraud, cash laundering, theft of public funds and making false assertion expenses. 

“With respect for my colleagues, the folks of New York, and most significantly, myself, I’m honored to tender my resignation,” Woomer stated in her resignation e-mail, according to Scripps News. “Sadly, you by no means took one level {of professional} recommendation given.”

Her resignation comes after she was caught on tape bashing her ex-boss as “not a superb individual.” 

“I truly hope he does [get kicked out of Congress],” Woomer was captured saying on an audio recording by the O’Keefe Media Group. 

“He’s not a superb individual, sorry,” she went on, citing the costs introduced in opposition to him by the Justice Division.

Woomer previously worked in communications on the Massachusetts Division of Income, the Massachusetts Republican Occasion, and for Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and former Reps. Ryan Costello (R-Pa.) and Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.).

Woomer didn’t reply to The Put up’s request for remark.

The Home on Wednesday voted to refer a Democratic-sponsored decision to take away Santos from Congress to the Ethics Committee.

The measure was accredited in a 221-204 vote, with no Republicans voting in opposition to the movement, and 7 Democrats voting current.

Santos is already facing a House Ethics Committee investigation into whether or not he engaged in illegal exercise throughout his 2022 congressional marketing campaign.
