Gasoline Tank Ablaze in Sevastopol, Official Says Obvious Drone Assault
(Reuters) – A gasoline tank was ablaze within the Crimean port metropolis of Sevastopol in what gave the impression to be a drone strike, the Moscow-installed governor stated on Saturday.
“In response to preliminary data, the hearth was brought on by a drone hit,” Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev wrote on the Telegram messaging app.
Sevastopol, on the Crimean peninsula that Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, has come beneath repeated air assaults since Russia’s full-fledged invasion of its neighbour in February 2022. Russian officers have blamed the assaults on Ukraine.
The Ukrainian navy didn’t instantly reply to a request for touch upon Saturday. Kyiv virtually by no means publicly claims accountability for assaults inside Russia or on Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine.
