Disney’s Dwell-Motion Lilo & Sew Lastly Finds Its Lilo – E! On-line

Say aloha to Disney’s latest member of the family.

Maia Kealoha, a younger actress from Hawaii, has landed the function of Lilo in Disney’s live-action remake of the 2002 basic Lilo & Sew, in accordance with the Hollywood Reporter.

And Maia, who was not too long ago topped the 2023 Mini Miss Kona Coffee, already has an ohana standing behind her. “what slightly CUTIE!!! she’s the right lilo,” one fan tweeted, whereas one other added, “oh she’s lovely i hope she has enjoyable and will get a lot love.”

For true followers of the film, nothing—and no element—obtained left behind. “She seems identical to the animated character. Good casting,” one fan commented, with one other reacted, “The proper Lilo does exist, and she or he seems like this.” (See a photo of Maia here.)

The casting comes greater than 9 months after Dean Fleischer Camp joined Lilo & Sew as director, per THR.

Although not a lot is thought about what path the live-action Lilo & Sew will take, the unique film adopted the unlikely friendship between Lilo—an orphaned 6-year-old woman residing with sister Nani—and Sew, a mischievous alien who Lilo adopts as her canine.
