China’s Baidu Cancels ChatGPT-Like Ernie Bot’s Livestreamed Product Launch

BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese language search engine big Baidu on Monday cancelled a deliberate livestreamed product launch open to media and public associated to its ChatGPT-like Ernie bot.

The launch was meant to happen on Monday afternoon however has as a substitute been modified to a closed-door assembly with the primary batch of corporations which can be testing the product, Baidu mentioned in a press release on Monday morning.
