Alec Baldwin will get assist mounting horse on ‘Rust’ set

Alec Baldwin was noticed getting a little bit additional assist to mount his horse on the new “Rust” film set in Montana on Sunday.
The 65-year-old star was surrounded by at the least six crewmembers as they helped him climb a tiny set of stairs and throw his leg over the saddle.
A gray-beaded Baldwin — who was carrying a brown overcoat, excessive leather-based boots and a cowboy hat — might then be seen hoisting himself upright on the horse.

At one other level, Baldwin was handed what seemed to be a gun belt by a crew member as he bought in character because the rugged gunslinger, Harland Rust.
The actor solely returned to the brand new “Rust” set simply final week as involuntary manslaughter charges towards him had been dropped over the deadly Oct. 21, 2021 on-set capturing that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Manufacturing for the indie-Western was instantly halted within the wake of the capturing in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
It resumed last week close to the Yellowstone Movie Rach in Paradise Valley, Montana.


The transfer to Montana comes after the movie’s manufacturing firm finalized a settlement final month with New Mexico over “critical” security violations on set and agreed to pay a $100,000 high quality.
Baldwin, who had pleaded not guilty to the charges before they were dropped, had been wielding a prop pistol during rehearsal on the New Mexico set when it fired a real bullet — striking and killing the 42-year-old cinematographer.
The actor has always insisted he never pulled the trigger.


While his charges were dropped, the involuntary manslaughter case against the film’s armorer — Hannah Gutierrez-Reed — remains ongoing.
Prosecutors have accused Gutierrez-Reed, who was in charge of all weapons and ammo on the set of the low-budget western, of “sloppy mishandling of firearms” in the lead up to the tragedy.
Gutierrez-Reed won’t be re-joining the film crew to shoot the movie’s new scenes in Montana.
