Aaron Rodgers loved Jets winning for Nathaniel Hackett after Sean Payton’s ‘horses–t’ takedown

Aaron Rodgers couldn’t suppress the wide grin on his face.

During his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday, Rodgers reveled in the Jets winning one for their maligned offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett over the Broncos on Sunday in Denver.

Hackett was ripped by new Broncos head coach Sean Payton before the season when Payton called the head-coaching job Hackett did in Denver in 2022 one of the “worst’’ in NFL history.

Rodgers, who is rehabbing his ruptured Achilles injury, called watching the game “nerve-wracking.’’

“I loved every minute of it,’’ Rodgers said. “One of the coolest things was watching the end of that game to see how people love Nathaniel so much. Yeah, he’s not going to be making big deal about it, but he’s a man. And those comments were horses–t in the beginning of season, and we all wanted that for him for sure. So, I’m really, really happy for him.

“Awesome for Hack. You see all the love and we just nonstop hugs. (Head coach Robert) Saleh gave him the game ball afterwards, and [I’m] just really proud of our guys.’’

Rodgers also complimented the job Zach Wilson did in the game.

“Happy for Zach,” Rodgers said. “He made some big-time throws … and made some other big third-down conversions and then you know Quincy [Williams] coming up with a big strip sack and Bryce [Hall] picking that up and running it in.

“That was pretty special, so [I’m] proud of our boys. That was a big win for us.’’
