A distressing video shows the moment a goon carrying a metal rod struck a woman as she was pushing a baby in a stroller along a street in Southern California — just hours before cops say the same attacker bludgeoned a 60-year-old woman in the head.

The back-to-back assaults occurred Thursday in Long Beach, leaving one of the victims bleeding profusely from a head wound. The first incident took place shortly before 10 a.m. and was caught on surveillance video.

The footage showed the suspect running up to a woman walking with a child and smashing her in the back of the head with an “unknown object,” according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The victim let out a gut-wrenching scream and fled in terror while pushing the stroller. The woman was later taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, reported Fox 11.

Police said the child who was in the woman’s care was not injured.

“When I saw the video, it actually made me mad,” neighbor Juan Rivas told ABC 7. “Hopefully, police catch him. He needs to pay for this.”

Just before 12:30 p.m. on the same day, 60-year-old Aura Ortega was talking on the phone while taking a walk in the area of 21st Street and Pine Avenue in Long Beach, when she passed by a man she didn’t know.

Suddenly, Ortega said she was struck in the back of the head with what she believes was a pipe — and felt blood gushing down her neck.

“[I said] ‘Somebody help me!’” Ortega, wearing a white bandage around her injured head, told the station.

Long Beach cops said they believe the same man is responsible for both violent incidents.

The alleged attacker is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7, with a peach fuzz mustache.

He was last seen wearing a white hat, a turquoise sweater over a black hooded sweater, blue pants, and white and black tennis shoes. He was carrying a black bag hanging from his chest with shoulder straps around his neck.

Police said they have increased patrols in the area where the women were attacked and are actively looking for the culprit.
