Why One Tree Hill’s Bethany Joy Lenz Was “Terrified” Before Sharing Cult Experience – E! Online

Bethany Pleasure Lenz does not need to be something aside from what she’s been making an attempt to be these days.

The former One Tree Hill star just lately opened up about her decade-long expertise in an unnamed cult, sharing that she spent years recovering from the psychological and emotional toll it took on her. And if there’s one message she hopes individuals will take away from her story, it’s that “there is no disgrace in being abused.”

“There are actually horrible individuals on the market who do unhealthy issues,” she advised Access in an Aug. 16 broadcast. “That does not make you a foul individual and that does not make you at fault.”

The truth is, that was a revelation that admittedly took Lenz fairly a very long time to grasp. As she defined, “I did not know methods to discuss this in a means that I really feel like I am going to actually be understood.”
