What do tickets cost to see Aubrey Plaza in ‘Danny and the Deep Blue Sea’?

Fresh off a star turn in the second season of “White Lotus,” Aubrey Plaza is headed off-Broadway.
Starting on Monday, Nov. 6, the popular “Parks and Rec” star will share the stage with “Girls” actor Christopher Abbott in a revival of John Patrick Shanley’s “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.
“It’s an actor’s dream play,” Plaza told Vanity Fair about the two-hander that takes place in a Bronx bar. “It is so fun and juicy, and the characters are tragic and beautiful.”
As of now, the show has a fairly limited run — there appear to be only 43 performances in the 299-seat venue.
The last show is set to take place on Saturday, Jan. 6.
If you want to catch Plaza and Abbott’s short stay in the West Village, it isn’t too late to pick up last-minute seats.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $261 before fees on Vivid Seats.
Other shows have seats starting in the $300 to $700 range.

“Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” tickets
After opening on Nov. 6, the 80-minute, intermission-free show has a fairly unconventional schedule.
Some weeks, it will run Tuesday through Sunday; others have just Friday and Saturday performances.
As of now, the theater is set to go dark every Monday after its Monday opening night on Nov. 6.

“Danny and the Deep Blue Sea” cast
The show, which first premiered in June 1983, tells the story of Roberta (Plaza), a divorcée with a teenage son and Danny (Abbott), a man who lives with his mom.
Over the course of the play, the two share secrets over beer and uncover their truths.
If you’re not familiar with Plaza or Abbott’s work, here’s where you may know them from.
Aubrey Plaza, 39, has been steadily working since she was cast in NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” Just a few of her most memorable roles include “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World,” “The To Do List,” “Ingrid Goes West,” “Emily The Criminal” and the criminally under seen “Spin Me Round.” This production will be her first time on the stage since 2005’s “Rebel Without A Cause.”
Christopher Abbott, 37, made his name in “Girls” but it’s likely you’ve seen him in a number of movie and TV shows. We’re partial to his work in “On The Count Of Three,” “Martha Marcy May Marlene,” “Tyrel,” “Black Bear” (with Plaza) and the upcoming Oscar contender “Poor Things.”
