We found shockingly cheap tickets to see Matt Rife at Radio City

[ad_1]

For once, you can see the crowd work king for cheap.

Matt Rife is headed to New York’s Radio City Music Hall for six back-to-back-to-back gigs from Feb. 2-4 as part of his ongoing ‘ProbleMATTic Tour’ and prices are far lower than the top dollar he typically draws.

At the time of publication, some tickets to see the 28-year-old comic are going for as low as $23 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Back in November, prices started at $85 before fees.

So, if you’ve been on the fence about seeing the anything goes funnyman live, now is the time to pounce.

And for those that are worried the show will feature the same material as Rife’s 2023 Netflix special “Natural Selection,” he’s assured fans that’s not the case.

In a recent Instagram post, user @lifeof_camille asked, “Are his current shows the same set as his Netflix special??”

“Nope,” Rife replied.

Matt Rife comedy specials

Rife has had quite a whirlwind decade thus far.

After appearing in shows like MTV’s “Wild ‘n Out” and NBC’s “Bring The Funny,” Rife found his following on TikTok and YouTube this year.

If you want to stream longer-form specials of his on YouTube and Netflix, here’s where you can find them:

“Only Fans” (2021) streaming on YouTube

“Matthew Steven Rife” (2023) streaming on YouTube

“Walking Red Flag” (2023) streaming on YouTube

“Natural Selection” (2023) streaming on Netflix

Matt Rife controversy

Rife recently dropped his first Netflix special and soon after it hit the streamer, viewers were upset.

After describing the state of Maryland to the crowd, he jumped into an anecdote about a waitress he encountered in the state with a black eye.

“My boy, who I was with, was like, ‘Yeah, I feel bad for her, man, I feel like they should put her in the kitchen or something where nobody has to see her face,’” Rife joked.

“And I was like, ‘Yeah, but I feel like if she could cook, she wouldn’t have that black eye.’”

Many fans of his didn’t appreciate the bit.

“The way women catapulted Matt Rife into popularity and the second he gets a comedy special on Netflix he immediately betrays them with a joke about domestic violence crazy innit,” one user slammed according to the New York Post.

In response, Rife volleyed back with a silly apology where he offered those that were offended special needs helmets.

To read more about the back and forth, you can find the NY Post’s story here.

Matt Rife upcoming projects

Rife, who counts Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis as fans — as evidenced by his goofy, 2.5-minute tour announcement video — has quite a few irons in the fire.

Here are all of Rife’s TV and movie roles on the horizon courtesy of IMDb.

“Don’t Suck” stars Rife as an up-and-coming young comic with an unexpected past who hits the road with a veteran comedian who’s using the tour as a last chance at stardom. Stand up veterans Jamie Kennedy, Russell Peters, Carrot Top, Jimmy ‘JJ’ Walker and Jimmy Shubert round out the cast.

“The Private Eye” tells the story of Mort Madison (Rife), a private eye whose life is spiraling downward, when a beguiling, slightly familiar woman hires him for his most unusual case. Familiar faces in the cast include Eric Roberts and Erik Griffin.

“Trapped Inn” is a sci-fi thriller about an American cycling team trapped in a historic lodge during training camp high in remote European mountains. After team members mysteriously perish, two rival teammates clash as they fight for survival and try to find out what’s killing everyone on the team.

“Candy Flip” has no story to speak of at the moment; the film’s IMDb says the “plot (is being) kept under wrap.” Cole Carter, Danielle Loving and Jessica Belkin star.

“Karma’s a B—-“ follows Charley Stevens (Isabella Blake-Thomas) as she moves to her her recently deceased mother’s hometown. Upon arrival, she is plagued with strange nightmares that tease a horrific event, hinting at why her mother left town. Rife and Blake-Thomas are joined by Tony Todd in the ensemble.
