BURLINGTON, Vt. — Phish will play two particular reveals subsequent month to profit flood restoration efforts in Vermont and upstate New York.
The band, which was fashioned in Vermont in 1983, says on its web site that it’ll play on the Saratoga Performing Arts Middle in New York on Aug. 25 and Aug. 26.
The band stated 100% of web proceeds from all live performance and merchandise gross sales will likely be directed to a 2023 Flood Restoration Fund that is a part of a basis it created in 1997. Phish “will help the numerous victims and their households, space companies and nonprofits.”
The band has been on tour.
“As quickly as we realized the scope of the devastation, all of us collectively stated, ‘Is there something we are able to do?’” Phish member Web page McConnell instructed WCAX-TV. “The wheels began turning throughout the first few days of all of the rain and flooding that was taking place up there.”
Storms dumped as much as two months’ price of rain over a few days in elements of the area earlier this month.
