Ukraine Says Two Killed in Russian Shelling of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia Regions

KYIV (Reuters) – An aged girl and a police officer had been killed early Saturday by Russian shelling on a settlement in Kharkiv area in jap Ukraine and Zaporizhzhia within the south, Ukrainian officers stated.
“This morning, round 5:10, the enemy fired on Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village in Kupiansk district. A residential constructing was broken. A 73-year-old girl died,” Kharkiv governor Oleh Synehubov stated on the Telegram messaging app.
In a separate assault on Orikhiv city in Zaporizhzhia area, one police officer was killed and 12 folks, together with 4 cops, had been injured, inside minister Ihor Klymenko stated on Telegram.
He stated Russian troops used a guided aerial bomb.
Reuters couldn’t independently confirm the small print of the Ukrainian stories.

Jap elements of Kharkiv area and most of Zaporizhzhia area are immediately adjoining to the entrance line, and Ukrainian forces have reported a rise in Russian assaults there in latest weeks.
Kharkiv regional authorities earlier this month introduced the necessary evacuation of civilians from settlements closest to the entrance line in Kupiansk district.
Ukrainian authorities stated this week that Russia attacked a “civilian infrastructure object” in Zaporizhzhia on Thursday night.
Russia denies intentionally focusing on civilians throughout its invasion of Ukraine, which is now in its 18th month and has resulted within the deaths of 1000’s of individuals, the uprooting of tens of millions and the destruction of Ukrainian cities and cities.
