Attorneys for Donald Trump have requested a federal decide to set an April 2026 trial date within the case in Washington charging the previous president with conspiring to overturn the outcomes of the 2020 election

WASHINGON — Attorneys for Donald Trump requested a federal decide Thursday evening to set an April 2026 trial date within the case in Washington charging the previous president with conspiring to overturn the outcomes of the 2020 election.
The steered date is a dramatic counter to the Justice Division’s suggestion final week of a Jan. 2 trial.
U.S. District Decide Tanya Chutkan is predicted to set the date throughout a courtroom listening to scheduled for Aug. 28.
Trump’s 2024 calendar figures to be filled with courtroom dates and marketing campaign appearances as the previous president confronts a presidential major season whereas bracing for trials in 4 separate circumstances and 4 completely different cities.
