Sydney Sweeney dubbed ‘the Chosen One’ in Hooters-themed ‘SNL’ sketch

It was quite a hoot.
Sydney Sweeney, who hosted “Saturday Night Live” this past week, starred in a hilarious sketch that saw her as a Hooters waitress who, despite being really bad at her job, made a great deal of money — for some reason.
In the sketch, which opens with Chloe Fineman and Chloe Troast comparing the tips they received when they ask Sweeney how much she made.
“$36,000” Sweeney, 26, says much to the shock of her fellow waitresses.
“Is that low,” the actress continues when Fineman, 35, and Troast, 26, continue to look aghast.
“I wouldn’t say low,” an exasperated Fineman says.
“Yeah, that’s pretty good, Tina,” Troast adds referring to Sweeney’s character.
At that moment, Bowen Yang enters saying that it was “another bad day” after being tipped 12 cents and a note saying “You ruined my day.”
Sweeney then complains that one table stiffed her on a tip with Fineman proclaiming “yeah, that’s gonna happen.”
Moments later, “SNL” veteran Kenan Thompson enters the room carrying something behind his back.
“Excuse me, I am so sorry, I had to run to the bank. Here’s your tip new girl,” Thompson, 45, says dropping a ton of cash on the table.
“Damn, she fine,” he exclaims before running out of the room.
The other servers were not impressed.
“That is insane. I served that guy last week. When I brought the check, he patted his pockets and said, ‘Sorry, I just got laid off,’” Fineman says.
“Yeah, when I served him, he said ‘Are there any ladies who work here,” Troast laments.
Sweeney claims that it’s all about good customer service before heading over to a table full of men and promptly spilling beer all over them.
After apologizing profusely, one of the men shakes it off by saying “Anything you do is ok” and eve offered to buy her a new car.
Sweeney’s coworkers look on in increasing frustration as she accidentally makes a man break his sobriety but still gets offered a new car by the group.
Finally, after each of the servers attempts to replicate Sweeney’s magic (and fails) they tell the “Anyone But You” star that she is “making them feel bad” and taking their tips.
Shortly after recommending that Hooters may not be the place for Sweeney, who revealed that she had worked at an airport and as a crossing guard, the chain’s mascot Hooter B. Owl comes to life.
“You can’t leave,” says the owl. “You are my Harry Potter. And this is your Hogwarts so please stay.”
After Sweeney agrees, the other three ask the mascot if he wants them to stay to which he responds: “I don’t care.”
“Now I must go,” the owl mascot continued. “I have a funeral to attend. My friend Flaco flew into a building.”
The skit ends with Hooter B. Owl saying that the only way to cheer him up would be if someone showed him their breasts but quickly takes his leave when Troast volunteers.
