Get a grip

Adrian Houser, who is playing with grip changes to his changeup and slider, allowed three runs on four hits in 1 ²/₃ innings. The starter was not bothered and said, “Obviously, besides the results, really happy with how I felt today and how the stuff’s coming out.”

Caught my eye

On an off day, Francisco Lindor stood next to Carlos Mendoza in the dugout for much of the game talking with the manager. Lindor’s leadership has shown through during camp.
