Sunday proved another reminder that no one is safe on an NFL field, as a sideline official at a game between the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions suffered an apparent broken leg after getting run into by Saints’ running back Alvin Kamara.

The play occurred during the second quarter, as Kamara ran left and was pushed out of bounds, where he fell into the leg of the official at the Superdome in New Orleans.

The worker attempted to jump out of the way, but wasn’t able to avoid the collision and he fell to the ground, with a camera shot showing his leg bent at an awkward angle and the worker in agony.

The game was stopped while the official received medical attention.

Kamara briefly appeared to check on the man upon the collision, but play ultimately resumed.

The Lions subsequently beat the Saints 33-28, improving to 10-3 on the season, while dropping New Orleans to 5-7 on the season.

Kamara himself enjoyed a big day otherwise, recording 109 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on 20 touches.
