Russia-Africa Summit to Talk about Moscow’s Grain and Fertiliser Exports – RIA

(Reuters) – Russia and nations participating on this week’s Russia-Africa summit will focus on Moscow’s grain and fertilisers exports, Oleg Ozerov, ambassador at giant on the Russian overseas ministry, advised the state RIA information company in remarks revealed on Tuesday.

Final week, Russia withdrew from the year-long Black Sea grain deal that ensured the secure export of Ukrainian grains, saying that Russia’s circumstances for the extension of the deal had been ignored.

The second Russia-Africa summit will happen in St. Petersburg on July 27-29, as Moscow and the West compete for affect in Africa.

“The creation of logistics corridors, hubs not just for meals and fertilizers, but in addition for another merchandise that the Russian Federation produces – this will probably be one of many subjects of debate,” Ozerov advised RIA.

“It appears to me that the thought of such logistics corridors and the creation of grain hubs is promising and possible.”

The U.N-brokered grain deal had allowed Ukraine to export grain from its Black Sea ports, regardless of the battle, to alleviate a worldwide meals disaster. This week, President Vladimir Putin stated Moscow can change Ukrainian grain each commercially and freed from cost.

On Monday, UN Secretary-Basic Antonio Guterres known as on Russia on Monday to return to the Black Sea grain deal.
