All you! Robert De Niro is giving credit to his girlfriend, Tiffany Chen, for handling the bulk of parenting duties for their newborn daughter.
“It doesn’t get easier. It is what it is. It’s OK,” he told The Guardian on Sunday.
“I don’t do the heavy lifting,” he continued. “I’m there, I support my girlfriend. But she does the work. And we have help, which is so important.”
He added: “With a baby it’s different [than] with my 11-year-old. My adult children. My grandchildren. It’s all different.”
When asked if he’s enjoying fatherhood, he replied: “Of course I do. [I am happy with] all of it.”
The “Killers of the Flower Moon” actor revealed in June that his older children still haven’t met Gia.
“Not yet, but they will,” he told People at the “A Bronx Tale” screening at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Gia arrived on April 6. He’s also dad to Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46 from his first marriage to Diahnne Abbott, twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with model and actress Toukie Smith and son Elliot, 24, and daughter Helen, 11, with second-wife Grace Hightower.
De Niro and the martial arts instructor, 45, initially sparked dating rumors in August 2021, years after they met on set of the film “The Intern” in 2015.
