Rebel Wilson claims Adele ‘hates’ her in new memoir: ‘I have to be careful with what I say’

Rumor has it that Adele didn’t like being compared to Rebel Wilson.

“Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say. This is why, I think, Adele hates me,” Wilson, 44, writes in her upcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising,” according to an excerpt obtained by InTouch Weekly.

“There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another … I am assuming, because to be fair I’ve never asked her,” Wilson continued.

According to the “Bridesmaids” alum, the few times that she and the “Rolling in the Deep” songstress, 35, crossed paths, Adele “always quickly” turned away whenever she saw Wilson heading in her direction.

“As if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than thirty seconds. That she didn’t like being compared to ‘Fat Amy,’” Wilson penned, referring to her “Pitch Perfect” character.

Both entertainers have lost significant weight in recent years.

Adele admitted in 2021 to shedding 100 pounds in two years.

Wilson stated in her book that she got her start in Hollywood playing “the fat funny girl, making self-deprecating jokes,” but began to be taken more seriously in 2020 when she lost more than 80 pounds.

The Post reached out to Adele reps for comment.

Wilson’s memoir, which hits bookshelves Tuesday, has already caused massive waves online after the “Senior Year” alum revealed that she dedicated an entire chapter to “massive a-hole” Sacha Baron Cohen, 52.

The Aussie star claims she was “scared” of Cohen, who allegedly repeatedly pestered Wilson to do a nude scene in their ill-fated R-rated 2016 comedy “The Brothers Grimsby.”

“It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene,” read the excerpt obtained by People. “I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha.’”

Wilson went on to explain that while the film was shooting in Cape Town, South Africa, she was summoned by Cohen “via a production assistant,” saying she was “needed to film an additional scene.”

”‘Okay, well, we’re gonna film this extra scene,’ SBC says. Then he pulls his pants down … SBC says very matter-of-factly: ‘Okay, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass.’ And I’m like, ‘What?? … No!!’” Wilson continued.

“I was now scared,” the actress said. “I wanted to get out of there, so I finally compromised: I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.”

The “Struck by Lightning” star said that after the scene, she called her agent and a lawyer and was “encouraged to ‘be professional and finish the film.’”

Since the allegations arose this month, Cohen has vehemently denied he mistreated Wilson or pressured her into doing a nude scene.

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of ‘The Brothers Grimsby,’” a spokesman for the “Dictator” star told The Post last week.
