Ravens fans furious referees didn’t throw flag on Lamar Jackson interception

Sunday was a tough day for Ravens fans, who had their dreams of getting to the Super Bowl for the first time in more than a decade crushed.

It was made even tougher by what some felt was a missed pass interference call with just under seven minutes left and Baltimore down 17-7.

Lamar Jackson sent a pass into the end zone for tight end Isaiah Likely, but the throw wound up in the arms of Chiefs defensive back Deon Bush ending the scoring chance for the Ravens.

But fans were up in arms after it appeared Likely was interfered with by defensive back Chamarri Conner.

A replay clearly shows Conner making contact with Likely before the ball reaches him, which sends the Ravens wide receiver falling to the ground and giving Bush an easy interception.

“How is that not pass interference LMAO bro what???? Bro literally 2 hand pushed him out the play,” one person wrote on X.

Jackson was visibly angry after the play and slammed his helmet on the ground when he made his way back to the Ravens’ sideline.

Baltomore’s QB was throwing the ball into triple coverage, which already made the pass a dangerous one and the push to the back on Likely didn’t help the matter either.

“I saw both of them trailing [Likely], and I didn’t want to throw it out the end zone,” Jackson said about the pick. “I just tried to let him turn around and make a play. I thought it was going to be a PI, but it is what it is. That safety made a great play. He made the interception.”

Sunday was the Ravens’ first appearance in a conference championship since 2012.

The Chiefs will return to their fourth Super Bowl in five years and look to be the first team to repeat as champions in consecutive years since the Patriots did it in Super Bowl XXXVIII and Super Bowl XXXIX.
