One Miner Dies, 5 Injured After Underground Tremor in Polish Mine

WARSAW (Reuters) – One miner died and 5 had been injured after an underground tremor in a mine at Bielszowice in southern Poland on Saturday, the PAP information company stated.
A spokesman for the Polish Mining Group, quoted by PAP, stated that 5 miners had been delivered to the floor, injured however nonetheless acutely aware, and had been taken to hospital.
“One miner remained underground. Rescuers and a physician reached him, sadly the physician pronounced the miner useless,” the spokesman stated.
The underground tremor occurred at a depth of 1000 meters.
