A knife-wielding man slashed a stranger in the hand after a verbal dispute turned physical on a Manhattan train late Friday, cops said.
The 27-year-old victim was taking the uptown A train between West 14th Street in Chelsea and Penn Station around 11:30 p.m. when he exchanged words with a man he didn’t know and was slashed in the left hand with a box cutter, police said.
It wasn’t clear what the two men were fighting about, cops said.
The victim got off the train at Penn Station in Midtown and called police.
They were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The man with the knife remained on the train.
On Thursday morning, a subway conductor was slashed in the neck after sticking his head out of a train at a Brooklyn station. He needed 34 stitches to close his gaping wound.
“I don’t see myself going back on that train, that’s not for me anymore,” Alton Scott told The Post Saturday.
