Marjorie Taylor Greene gets unwelcome Christmas Day surprise

Firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene claims she received an unwelcome Christmas Day surprise — cops getting called to her home as part of a fake 911 “swatting” harassment of her.
Greene (R-Ga.) didn’t divulge many details of the ordeal but said she has been “swatted” on numerous occasions since getting elected to Congress in 2020.
“I was just swatted. This is like the 8th time,” Greene posted on X. “On Christmas with my family here. My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this.
“I appreciate them so much and my family and I are in joyous spirits celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!”
Greene did not specify which local police department had been called to her home. The Post reached out to cops in Rome, near where she lives, but has yet to get a response.
“Swatting” is a harassment tactic in which pranksters report a faux emergency to law enforcement to dispatch officers to a victim’s address.
Many conservatives have fallen victim to swatting. Activist Jack Posobiec claimed his parents were swatted Saturday.
As for Greene, in August 2022, someone called police to her house near Rome in Floyd County, Ga., using a computer-generated voice to claim someone there had been shot.
That incident appeared to be related to anger over Green’s position on “transgender youth rights.”
Greene has been an ardent backer of former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election cycle and has even mused about being his running mate.
