Man City vs. Arsenal prediction: Premier League odds, picks
[ad_1]
Sunday figures to be the biggest day of the Premier League season.
All three teams contending for the title are in action and two of them, Manchester City and Arsenal, will meet head-to-head at Etihad Stadium.
City is the +110 favorite to lift the trophy, just ahead of Liverpool (+200) and Arsenal (+275), though it’s Arsenal that is currently in first place thanks to a superior goal difference compared to Liverpool and a one-point edge on Manchester City.
Everything could look very different come Sunday evening.
The old adage suggests that styles make fights and if that cliché is to be believed, Sunday’s six-pointer between Manchester City and Arsenal could be quite cagey.
The Cityzens and Gunners play a very similar, possession-dominant style and Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, was Pep Guardiola’s deputy at City for years before moving to North London.
Neither side plays with much risk when they have the football and I would be surprised if either team is particularly eager to press when defending, knowing that their opponent is waiting for a mistake to exploit.
Furthermore, I don’t think either side views this as a must-win game.

Sure, a win would be a massive boost to their chances, but a draw would keep both clubs in contention and neither side will want to make the critical mistake if this match is still up for grabs with time running out.
The plays: Arsenal-Manchester City Draw (+280) and Under 0.5 goals (12/1).
