A man with scissors in his hands was shot by police in Queens after his mother called the 911 for help Wednesday afternoon, police and sources said.

NYPD officers responded to a report of an emotionally disturbed person on 103rd Street in the Ozone Park section of Queens, authorities said.

His mother had called police in a panic, saying “I think my son is on drugs and is acting erratic,” sources told The Post.

The man was in critical condition Wednesday afternoon after he was taken in an ambulance to Jamaica Hospital, law enforcement sources said.

No shots were fired at officers and no police were injured.
