SPRAGUE, Conn. — A girl and her 5-year-old daughter had been swept away in a swollen Connecticut river and died, officers stated Wednesday.

The girl, recognized by state police as Dora Kelly, 39, of Norwich, and her daughter, Aralye McKeever, had been swimming within the Shetucket River close to River Park in Sprague after they had been caught by the present Tuesday night simply earlier than 5:30 p.m., state police and hearth officers stated.
