Justin Bieber soaks in NHL All-Star Game win in gaudy, oversized coat: ‘Dreaming of this moment’

Justin Bieber’s squad clearly heard “Never Say Never” before Saturday’s NHL-Star Game.
The pop star and Ontario, Canada native was a celebrity captain for the festivities, and his team, led by Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews, took home the crown after two victories on Saturday.
Bieber got his own blue Team Matthews NHL jersey and skated around the Scotiabank Arena ice, taking pictures with players before the games began in earnest.
In fact, it was his fashion brand, Drew House, that helped collaborate with the league to make this year’s jerseys.
Before things got underway as his unit faced off with Team Hughes, the “Peaches” singer chatted with Sportsnet about the experience of being part of the weekend, which featured other celebrity captains Michael Bublé, Will Arnett and Tate McRae.
“So fun, that was a dream come true,” Bieber said on Sportsnet of taking in the pregame skate. “I’m overwhelmed with joy. I’ve been dreaming of this moment since I was a little boy growing up in Stratford.”
In the locker room before the games, he chatted up players from around the league, including having a moment with Penguins icon Sidney Crosby.
But as Bieber put on his oversized polka dot jacket, he got some praise from Maple Leafs star Mitchell Marner, whom the pop star drafted for Team Matthews.
“This is a winning jacket,” Marner noted.
Bieber also talked about the game and the fashion choice with ESPN during his win over Team Hughes.
“This is a company called Marni, and I’m obsessed,” he said of the coat.
Whether it was the “winning jacket” or not, Bieber’s team took both of its games to win the $1 million prize.
