In delivering a hit, Breece Hall was hit with a sizable fine.

The Jets running back was handed what is reported to be the largest fine of the week in the NFL, the league levying a $43,709 punishment to Hall for a play that did not elicit a flag.

Early in the first quarter of last Sunday’s loss to the Falcons, Hall caught a short pass over the middle for a gain of 7 yards.

As he raced toward the sideline, he appeared to lower both his upper body and his helmet, colliding helmet-to-helmet with Atlanta cornerback A.J. Terrell, who also tried to go low for the tackle.

Terrell suffered a concussion on the play.

No flag was thrown, but the NFL retroactively deemed the play unnecessary roughness on Hall.

“I’m Supposed to just let him hit me?” Hall wrote on X.

Hall, a second-year player, makes a base salary of $1,114,762 this season, or about $61,931 per game.

The $43,709 fine sounds meaningful to the 22-year-old.

“I’ll just let him dive at my knees next time I guess?” Hall wrote in a separate post on X, adding an emoji with a magnifying glass. “not like I tore my ACL or anything lol.”
