How much are tickets to see Iowa’s Caitlin Clark break the scoring record?

[ad_1]

She’s almost there.

With five games left in the regular season, Iowa Hawkeyes point guard Caitlin Clark is just eight points away from setting the NCAA’s Division I women’s all-time scoring record.

In her last contest, Iowa’s No. 2 ranked squad fell short to the Nebraska Cornhuskers 82-79 behind 31 points from Clark who is averaging 32.1 points per game this season.

Now, she’ll likely set the record at her home Carver Hawkeye Arena against the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday, Feb. 15.

As of now, tickets are available for the highly-anticipated matchup.

However, they will cost quite a bit more than your average regular season college basketball game.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find was $246 before fees on Vivid Seats.

While that may sound steep, Thursday will almost certainly be the night when the record is broken; Clark hasn’t had fewer than 21 points in a game this season thus far.

In fact, she hasn’t been held to a single digit scoring game since her freshman year.

NCAA Women’s scoring record

In 2017, Washington point guard and current Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum set the all-time scoring record with 3,527 points surpassing previous record holder Jackie Stiles.

As of now, Clark sits at 3,520 points, having averaged 28.2 points per game over the course of her four seasons at Iowa.

Due to the 22-year-old’s hoops heroics, ticket prices to catch her on the court have set records this season.

“I call it Clarkonomics,” ESPN college hoops analyst Debbie Antonelli told USA TODAY Sports. “She’s driven the game to a whole new level by herself. No one has ever shown up to watch one player like they’re showing up for her.”
