Gaza TV show seemingly predicted Hamas attack in 2022: ‘What we are preparing’

A fictional series on Palestinian TV last year seemingly predicted key elements of Hamas’ Oct. 7 sneak assault on Israel — from the terrorists’ white vans to targeted kibbutzim and the abduction of Israeli soldiers.

The series, which Israeli outlets did not name, aired during Ramadan in the spring of 2022 and depicted a terrorist invasion of Israel, the Times of Israel said.

Many aspects of the show were eerily similar to events that wound up taking place Oct. 7, the outlet said — and Hamas Gaza chief Yahya Sinwar ominously said at a public ceremony honoring it in 2022 that the series was “an inseparable part of what we are preparing.”

He said it dovetailed with “the great preparations we are making with our brothers in Izz-e-din Al-Qassam,” Hamas military wing, and bragged about “the weaponry that they are producing” and their intelligence capabilities.

The series showed Palestinian terrorists attacking kibbutzes near the border with Gaza, and Israeli communities were terrorized Oct. 7, including Kibbutz Be’eri, where more than 100 people were massacred, or nearly a tenth of its population.

Israelis including soldiers also were taken hostage during the show, as in real life in October. For example, 80 residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz were taken captive by Hamas out of a population of 400, The Associated Press said.

The series also showed Palestinian terrorists cutting off communications in Israel, and Hamas terrorists targeted the communications towers outside Kibbutz Kissufim so residents couldn’t call for help before storming the tiny community, the Washington Post said.

The show portrayed attacks on IDF military bases and the establishment of a Palestinian base on a seized Israel Defense Forces base, too, while Hamas terrorists in real life briefly took control of the IDF’s base in Re’im — the headquarters of the Israeli military’s main Gaza division.

Even the white vans that the Hamas terrorists used to get around Oct. 7 were featured in the series.

Hamas has long been known to use television as a propaganda tool for its terrorist activities.

The terrorist group has produced vile children’s television which is used to indoctrinate kids into adopting antisemitic beliefs and embracing violence.

The series that seemed to predict aspects of the Oct. 7 horror was lavished with awards by Sinwar.

The Hamas terrorist later hosted the producers of the show privately in his office.
