Matthew Perry died at the age of 54 on Saturday, Oct. 28, which eerily happens to be his ex Julia Roberts’ birthday.

Roberts, who turned 56 on Saturday, and Perry dated in the mid-1990s.

The late actor recalled in his 2022 memoir, “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,” how the actress reportedly wanted to do a cameo on “Friends,” but only if she was part of a storyline for his character, Chandler Bing.

Even more, Perry sent Roberts three dozen roses and a witty card to encourage her even more to drop by the NBC sitcom — at the request of creator Marta Kauffman.

“Thus began a three-month-long courtship by daily faxes. This was pre-internet, pre-cell phones – all our exchanges were done by fax. And there were many; hundreds,” Perry wrote in his book. “Three or four times a day I would sit by my fax machine and watch the piece of paper slowly revealing her next missive.”

The faxes, which “veered romantic,” then turned into “five-hour” phone calls between the pair. The Oscar winner then showed up at his door.

“When I opened it, there she was, there was a smiling Julia Roberts on the other side. I believe I said something like, ‘Oh, that Julia Roberts,’” he recalled.

Roberts would then appear on “Friends” when they were an item, and the couple also celebrated New Year’s in 2006 at Roberts’ family’s home in Taos, New Mexico, before the two split two months later.

“Dating Julia Roberts had been too much for me. I had been constantly certain that she was going to break up with me. Why would she not?” Perry noted in his memoir.

“I was not enough; I could never be enough; I was broken, bent, unloveable. So instead of facing the inevitable agony of losing her, I broke up with the beautiful and brilliant Julia Roberts.”

As The Post previously reported, Perry was found dead in the jacuzzi of his home in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles just after 4 p.m. on Saturday.

A 911 call was made reporting a cardiac arrest, but it has been been revealed who called authorities.

Additionally, law enforcement sources told TMZ no drugs were found at the scene and no foul play is suspected. Perry was not married and had no children at the time of his death.

The “Odd Couple” alum was best known for playing Chandler on the beloved NBC series for 10 years alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
