Four Syrian Soldiers Killed in Israeli Attack on Damascus – State Media

(Reuters) – An Israeli missile assault focusing on the neighborhood of Syria’s capital Damascus killed 4 troopers, wounded 4 extra and precipitated “some materials injury”, Syrian state media reported early on Monday citing a navy supply.

“At about 2:20 within the morning right this moment, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression from the route of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, focusing on some factors within the neighborhood of the town of Damascus,” the navy supply mentioned.

Syrian air defences intercepted the Israeli missiles and shot down a few of them, the supply added.

Israel has for years been finishing up assaults towards what it has described as Iran-linked targets in Syria, the place Iran’s affect has grown because it started supporting President Bashar al-Assad within the civil conflict that began in 2011.
