David Nalbandian is being sued by his ex-girlfriend for stalking and sexual harassment after the 2002 Wimbledon finalist allegedly installed hidden cameras inside the air conditioning in the apartment they shared in Italy, according to The Sun.
Araceli Torrado filed the complaint against the 41-year-old former tennis star, and included a video showcasing the camera.
A judge ruled that Nalbandian did indeed place the video equipment inside the apartment, but that is not a crime since he and Torrado shared the apartment.
The couple was together from September 2022 to June 2023, according to the Daily Mail.
Nalbandian admitted to Torrado that he installed the camera, according to c5n.com.
“It seems pathetic to me that you are not able to admit this to me. I found the camera..,” Torrado said.
“What I’m worried about is being on good terms with you and I want to find a way to do it,” Nalbandian replied.

He later said: “Do you want me to be honest? Yes, I put it on that day. I couldn’t see it because I don’t know what the internet is like, you can’t see it, so I didn’t see anything at all.”
The 29-year-old Torrado then sued Nalbandian for stalking and harassment.
She reportedly posted on social media, per The Sun: “In light of the questions I receive about the events of which I was a victim and whose author was David Nalbandian, I want to inform you that I am filing a criminal case and the corresponding civil legal proceedings. thanks for the support.”
Nalbandian, an Argentina native, enjoyed a successful career after turning professional in 2000.
He peaked at No. 3 in 2006 and won 11 singles titles.
He reached the Wimbledon Final in 2002, losing to Lleyton Hewitt, and reached the U.S. Open (2003) and French Open (2004, 2006) semifinals.
His career wrapped up in 2013, including the last final of his career, a loss to Rafael Nadal at the Brazil Open.
Nalbandian also won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2005.
