Dalvin Cook signing with Ravens for NFL playoffs after Jets release

Dalvin Cook is taking his talents to a Super Bowl contender.

The free agent running back is signing with the Ravens, his agency Loyalty Above All told ESPN.

Cook signed a one-year deal with the Jets earlier this year worth $6.8 million, and he’s double-dipping with the amount he’ll receive with the Ravens as he cleared waivers following his release earlier this week.

Cook, 28, carried the ball 67 times for 214 yards and no touchdowns with New York this season.

The Ravens are hoping Cook can rebound and replicate the time he was one of the best running backs in the league with the Vikings.

Cook made four Pro Bowls in Minnesota and rushed for over 1,100 yards each of the past four seasons before this one.

At 13-3, the Ravens have already clinched the top seed and a bye in the AFC heading into their game with the Steelers in Week 18.

Baltimore will be resting Lamar Jackson and starting Tyler Huntley at quarterback in the game.

Cook joins a Ravens backfield that includes Gus Edwards and Justice Hill, and they’ve also lost Keaton Mitchell and J.K. Dobbins to season-ending injuries.
