Courteney Cox has been photographed for the first time since her “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry’s death.
The “Scream” star, 59, was spotted with her longtime boyfriend, Johnny McDaid, leaving Nobu Malibu in California Monday night.
The actress appeared downcast as she got into her vehicle after the night out with pals.
She and the rest of the cast of the beloved NBC sitcom released a joint statement about Perry’s death just hours earlier.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” read their statement, obtained by People. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
“In time we will say more, as and when we are able,” the statement continued. “For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”
The message was signed by Jennifer Aniston, Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
Schwimmer, 56, was also spotted out for the first time since the tragic news on Monday. Unlike Cox, he was across the country leaving his New York City residence at the time.
Perry was found dead at age 54 in his hot tub at his California home on Saturday. He was unresponsive and already deceased before first responders arrived at the scene.
On Wednesday, law enforcement sources told TMZ that investigators ran a less in-depth test on the actor that revealed he did not have fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death.
More tests are currently being conducted as part of the toxicology report, which can take months. His cause of death is currently listed as “deferred.”
