Costa Rica Prosecutor Opens Case Into President for ‘Affect Peddling’ Media

SAN JOSE (Reuters) – Costa Rica’s Lawyer Common’s workplace has opened a case towards President Rodrigo Chaves and numerous different authorities officers for allegations of “affect peddling,” based on media studies on Tuesday.
The case comes after a grievance was lodged by businessman Leonel Baruch late final month, accusing Chaves of interfering in his little one custody proceedings following his divorce, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
The presidency didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
The case is in a preliminary “non-public” stage, the AFP added.
It’s the prosecutor’s second investigation involving Chaves in lower than a month, following a July 17 probe over an alleged abuse of energy.
