Colorado County Agrees to Pay $2.5 Million in Jail Abuse Settlement After Inmate Removes His Own Eyeballs – E! Online

Ryan Partridge‘s years-long authorized battle towards a Colorado county is over.
 
The previous inmate—who served time at a Boulder County jail in 2016 in connection to a minor assault—reached a $2.5 million after reaching a settlement with the power over his 2017 federal civil rights lawsuit towards the county and a former sheriff by which he accused them of neglecting his psychological well being points.

In response to a press release shared by Partridge’s legal professional, David Lane, obtained by E! Information Aug. 9, the previous inmate, who was homeless on the time of his arrest, “tried suicide on a number of events” whereas serving time in jail, alleging that “Boulder jail employees primarily did nothing to deal with his lively psychosis.”

Throughout one event, he “plucked his personal eyeballs from his head,” his lawyer defined, and is now completely blind.
 
“The primary settlement was towards the jail’s safety employees for $325,000 for repeatedly, over weeks, utilizing extreme pressure on Ryan,” Lane defined, in reference the allegation included within the lawsuit cited by the Denver Post in 2017, “and the second settlement was for $2,225,000 for being intentionally detached to his severe psychiatric wants.”
