China Says Military Held Naval, Air Combat Readiness Patrol Around Taiwan

SHANGHAI (Reuters) – China held a joint naval and air fight readiness patrol round Taiwan on Saturday, state media outlet Xinhua reported.

The Japanese Theatre Command held the patrol focussed on coordination and testing the fight capabilities of its troops in joint operations, in a critical warning to “Taiwan independence separatist forces”, the spokesperson of the Japanese Theater Command of the Chinese language Individuals’s Liberation Military, Colonel Shi Yi, was quoted as saying.
