Watch out world, Charles Barkley is on Instagram.

The popular NBA on TNT panelist was called out on Thursday night by one of his fellow broadcast partners for finally joining the social media app before chiding him and warning him not to get himself in trouble.

Kenny Smith broached the topic on air by asking Barkley if he had heard correctly that he finally created an Instagram account, which Barkley confirmed with a smile.

That’s when the TNT crew started dishing out advice, which included general wisdom about direct messages.

“So you gonna be sliding into people’s DMs?” Kenny Smith asked

“I don’t even know what that means,” replied Barkley, who has the handle charleswbarkley on Instagram

As the panel continued to make fun of Barkley, he looked at Smith and said, “Wait, you need to teach me how to slide…”

The beloved host was cut off before he could finish the question and advised that isn’t something he should be doing.

“That is the worst possible thing you could ever do in your position,” Smith said.

Barkley was then asked if he knew what it meant to slide into someone’s DMs, which he guessed correctly.

He did reveal that he did have someone doing his posts for him, but Barkley argued he was learning.

“I’ve only had it for like a week,” he said.

Then Adam Lefkoe chimed in with a piece of advice of his own.

Charles Barkley learned a lot of things about social media on the NBA on TNT broadcast tonight.

“When you like something, other people can see it,” he warned, “so just be careful please.”

But Shaquille O’Neal nearly derailed Barkley before he even could get started on the popular social media platform.

“You gotta hashtag OnlyFans,” Shaq told Barkley, eliciting laughter from the rest of the crew.

A confused and naive Barkley eventually asked, “for only fans of mine?”

Barkley has made a name and brand for himself on the NBA on TNT with his charisma and humor, and it’s safe to assume that will only continue on Instagram now that he has one.
