“Cha Cha Slide” Creator DJ Casper Dead at 58 After Cancer Battle – E! Online

The music world has misplaced a star. 

DJ Casper, the creator of the “Cha Cha Slide,” died on Aug. 7 on the age of 58, his spouse Kim confirmed to Chicago’s ABC7. 

Casper’s passing comes after a yearslong battle with most cancers.

“They identified me in 2016 with two types of most cancers, which is renal and Neuroendocrine, which is kidney and liver,” he informed ABC7 anchor Samantha Chatman in Could. “So, they went in to attempt to do surgical procedure they usually came upon that the kidney was linked to the primary artery. So, they determined to not do it. They determined to only deal with it.” 

The artist, also called Mr. C The Slide Man, underwent chemotherapy, in accordance with the website for his Casper Basic Radio. In 2019, Casper informed ABC7 that he was in remission. Nonetheless, his most cancers later returned. Nonetheless, Casper by no means gave up hope.
