A 14-year-old California boy allegedly used “multiple weapons” to murder both of his parents and seriously injure his younger sister before calling 911 to report a bogus break-in at his home, authorities said.

The teen was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and one charge of attempted murder after the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency injured persons call he placed around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

His name and photo were not immediately released due to his age.

According to radio traffic reviewed by KFSN, the dispatcher who took the 911 call heard “screaming on the line, saying someone broke into his house with a gun” and children crying in the background.

Upon arrival, police said the boy claimed somebody had broken into his Miramonte, Calif. home and brutally attacked his family before fleeing the scene in a pickup truck.

Deputies entered the home to find the bodies of the teen’s parents, identified as Lue Yang and Se Vang, both 37, as well as his 11-year-old sister, who “suffered major injuries” and was rushed to a local hospital.

The girl underwent emergency surgery and is expected to survive, police said.

Another young boy was found in the house and was not injured, though police did not specify his age or relationship to the rest of the family. KFSN reported that he was the 7-year-old brother of the murder suspect.

Homicide detectives were called to the home and discovered “inconsistencies” with the boy’s account of what had happened.

“The evidence ultimately showed the 14-year-old boy had fabricated the story of a break-in and was responsible for using multiple weapons to attack his family members,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.

Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the alleged slayings, but Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni said it was an isolated incident.

“Two children have lost their mother and father due to the actions by their other sibling,” Zanoni told KFSN.

Miramonte is an unincorporated rural community in Fresno County located about 50 miles east of the City of Fresno.

Calls placed to the sheriff’s department were not immediately returned Sunday.
