A suspected bike thief in California was seen pausing his alleged crime to pet and cuddle with the sufferer’s golden retriever, surveillance footage of the house exhibits.

“This isn’t your common bike; it’s distinct, that includes ‘8-ball’ caps on the tire valves, an ‘8-ball’ brand on the body, and a rear wheel body marked with a checkered black and white sample,” the police division mentioned.

However because the suspect is about to depart with the stolen bike, the family’s canine seems within the storage – stopping the suspect in his tracks.

The suspect pulls the bike again into the storage, engages the bike’s kickstand after which turns his consideration to the pleasant canine with pets and stomach rubs, the video exhibits.

“You’re so cool,” the person is heard telling the canine. “You’re the best canine I’ve ever identified. I like you, too. You’re a sweetheart.”

The person then calls out for the canine’s “dad,” whereas asking, “the place’s your dad?” and showing to say its proprietor “shouldn’t go away your storage open.” 

The suspect then carried on with stealing the bike. 

“The suspect is described as a white male, final seen carrying a blue and white hat, grey shirt, blue shorts, and orange athletic sneakers. He was carrying a black and blue backpack,” the San Diego Police Division wrote on Fb.
