Barstool’s Frank ‘the Tank’ Fleming lost over 150 pounds since peak of 500

Popular Barstool Sports host Frank “the Tank” Fleming reached a major milestone in his weight loss journey.
Fleming posted a video on X on Tuesday saying that he weighed in at under 350 pounds for the first time in more than 20 years, from a previous peak of over 500 pounds.
“I’ve been making some good progress, I think,” he said.
In the video, Fleming, who has become a highly visible and often agitated fan of the Mets, Devils and Seton Hall, explained that he “topped off” above 500 in the 2015-16 range, and got hospitalized with MRSA.
“I got really sick, and the only good thing is I lost about 75-100 pounds during this six-week illness,” Fleming said.
He said he got on a “little bit of a health kick” after he joined Barstool, “but then that got derailed by the f–king pandemic.”
Warning: graphic language
Fleming noted that he weighed in at 373 pounds when the latest push started, and at 362 in his most recent weigh-in.
He proceeded to step on the scale and come in at 343.2 pounds, and evaluate it like he would the success of one of his teams.
“That is a very good number — very good number,” Fleming exclaimed.
The way Fleming found his way to Barstool Sports is rather remarkable.
In 2017, Fleming went viral for railing against a New Jersey Transit meltdown that caused him to miss the Mets’ the home opener.
“It’s the absolute worst!” he yelled across the local news. “I’m not going to get to my game now because they are incompetent!”
Fleming continued to rant about NJ Transit in an interview with The Post.
“If you contract it out to private companies that usually helps because they’re forced to do better. I think they need a rival company. When it’s run by the government, they can be as terrible as they want.”
Soon thereafter, Barstool founder Dave Portnoy identified Fleming as a potential character and brought him on part-time, and as his presence continued to grow Fleming landed a full-time deal in 2020.
