Alabama Inmate Arrested After ‘Security Incident’ at State Prison

An Alabama inmate who appeared on social media movies with what seemed to be a handgun, whereas describing the jail as a lethal “conflict zone,” was arrested for what the jail system referred to as a safety incident on the lock-up.

The Alabama Division of Corrections stated Derrol Shaw, 35, was arrested and can be charged in reference to a “safety incident” early Sunday morning at Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer. No jail employees had been injured, the jail system stated.
